Jakarta, Indonesia, 17 December 2020 – Musim Mas continues to show its commitment to environmental responsibility and community development. For the third time running, the company secured the most Green PROPER Awards in the palm oil sector, attaining 8 out of 9 awards.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s representatives announce the green award winners at the PROPER 2020 Virtual Awards Ceremony.
Our eight subsidiaries that received the awards were PT Musim Mas PKS Batang Kulim, PT Musim Mas PKS Pangkalan Lesung, PT Sinar Agro Raya, PT Agrowiratama, PT Berkat Sawit Sejati, PT Maju Aneka Sawit, PT Sukajadi Sawit Mekar 2, and PT Unggul Lestari.
Also known as Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan dalam Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup, the PROPER Awards is an assessment program by the Indonesia Ministry of Environment and Forestry that aims to improve the environmental compliance and excellence of businesses in Indonesia. Musim Mas, along with over 2,000 companies from industrial sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, and agro-food, took part in this year’s PROPER Award.
As requirements for the PROPER Award get more stringent, Musim Mas has stepped up in its Sustainability efforts. The Covid-19 pandemic has posed enormous economic and social challenges in all industries. In response to this crisis, we are improving our Community Development program, which empowers affected communities to reduce poverty and improve living standards sustainably.
