Singapore, 20 April 2022 – Following the recent disruption of the cooking oil supply, the Attorney General of Indonesia (AGI) is conducting an investigation into alleged irregularities in the issuance of export approvals to PT Mikie Oleo Nabati Industri (MONI, a member of Musim Mas Group).
The presumed irregularities are linked to the implementation of the domestic market obligation policy (DMO), which has been edicted in February 2022 to address the recent cooking oil supply disruption in Indonesia. The DMO has been discontinued in March 2022.
MONI, and all other Musim Mas Group companies, have fully supported the DMO programme. During this period, the Group has acted in full compliance with the law.
The documents and records supporting our compliance with the DMO requirements have been shared with the relevant authorities since the beginning of the investigation, in complete transparency.
The Group respects the legal proceedings in progress, and is fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation.
