Earthworm Foundation’s Aceh Landscape Program is a multi-stakeholder working group in Aceh Tamiang and Aceh Singkil. Musim Mas is a funder of the program and has been a member of the Aceh Landscape Programme Working Group since 2017.
The program builds the capacity of the local government to conduct spatial planning and district development. The project helps priority landscape actors identify, map, manage and monitor HCV and HCS forest areas. The first of these efforts are focused on PT. Semadam the company with the largest forest remaining inside any oil palm concession area in the Aceh Tamiang district. The program also supports communities in developing sustainable livelihoods, among other activities.
As part of the program, we also have access to satellite monitoring, a platform to engage the government, mills, and plantations, and the development of participatory land use plans.
