As part of our landscape approach, we established a Smallholders Hub in Sungai Linau in February 2022.
Under the banner of the Sungai Linau Landscape Conservation and Livelihoods Programme (SLP), the Hub aims to support community-based land use development and strengthen village members’ livelihoods, while protecting HCV and HCV forest and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through forest and peat protection.
As there are limited Village Extension Officers (VEOs) in Sungai Linau, we conduct on-the-job training for VEOs. As of December 2023, we have trained 457 independent smallholders on Good Agricultural Practices.
